When I was a kid, I had a phase of immersing myself in the interviews in 'The Rolling Stone' and 'Spin'. I found this Shakira interview by a UK journalist to be reminiscent of those pieces. I think the trick of the author is to first establish the fact that they adore their subject in order to make the objectivity of the interview seem like a Herculean task.
