I mentioned a few months ago that a woman was severely injured during a Shake It Like Shakira. I really should have done some lateral research then and provided this link to Belly Dance Safety Tips. I found that as an external link on Wikipedia. I was a bit disturbed to see that Jessica Simpson got listed in the pop culture belly dancing paragraph. Nelly Furtado, I'm ok with. I got side-tracked re-educating myself ( and almost crying ) about Aaliyah's life and tragic death. She was a belly dancer too. Her death and the investigation into the 2001 plane crash were completely over-shadowed weeks later by 9/11.
